Empowering Educators: Awareness Session on the POCSO ActDon Bosco High School, Borivali organised an awareness session on the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act for the teaching staff on 9th September. The session was conducted by Adv. Sunil Pinto, SDB, who shared valuable insights into the provisions of the Act and the responsibilities of educators in ensuring the safety and well-being of children.The session sensitised teachers to the importance of creating a safe, protective and child-friendly school environment. Through practical guidance and relevant examples, the teachers were encouraged to understand their role in recognising concerns, responding appropriately and following the necessary procedures when safeguarding children.The interactive session served as an important reminder that child protection is not merely a legal responsibility but a collective moral commitment. It strengthened the teachers’ awareness and equipped them to contribute more effectively towards a secure and supportive environment for every child.“Every child deserves to feel safe, heard, respected and protected.”
