Dramatics: Bringing the Journey of Don Bosco to Life

The stage came alive with energy, emotion and imagination as the students of Classes V to VIII presented a captivating Dramatics sequence on the life and journey of Don Bosco on 24th August 2026. Each House explored a significant chapter from Don Bosco’s life, taking the audience on a moving journey from a young boy’s dream to the reflections of an elderly Don Bosco.The Blue House presented “Little John’s Big Dream – The Dream That Started It All,” portraying the childhood dream of nine-year-old John Bosco that would eventually shape his extraordinary life.The Yellow House took the audience into “The Walk to Knowledge – Teenage Bosco’s Struggle for Education,” highlighting young Bosco’s determination, perseverance and unwavering desire to learn despite the challenges he faced.The Green House brought alive “The First Orator – Young Priest Bosco and the Street Boys,” showcasing his remarkable ability to connect with young people and inspire them through his words, warmth and understanding.The Red House presented “Don Bosco’s Last Lesson – The Elder Don Bosco Reflects on His Life,” offering a touching glimpse into the later years of his life and the lessons he carried from a lifetime dedicated to young people.The performances were judged by Mrs. Alice Panikal and Mrs. Angelina Fernandes on five key criteria: Script & Originality, Acting, Voice & Pronunciation, Costumes, Props & Stage Presentation, and Overall Impact & Time Management, with each criterion carrying 10 marks.Adding special sparkle to the event, the Best Actor Awards were presented to Shawn D’Britto of Yellow House and Advait Sawant of Red House, both portraying Don Bosco. The Best Actress Award went to Jeshuruni Lobo of Blue House for her portrayal of Mama Margaret.The event was more than a dramatics competition—it was a celebration of dreams, determination, faith, education and service. Through confident performances and powerful storytelling, the young actors transformed history into a living experience, proving that a great life can begin with one small dream—and a heart willing to follow it.
